Yes this is another basic fall post. Sorry not sorry.
Last Saturday, all of my housemates were gone, and I had nothing to do.
Just kidding, I had plenty to do. My professors made sure of that.
So I faced a decision: read 100 pages in The Warden, get ahead on my homework, start applying for internships for next semester, or bake fall treats?
(also I am using the term baking very loosely)
Spoiler alert: fall treats won.
Luckily for you, my procrastination is your new recipe.
Enjoy!
Ingredients:
I pack of double stuffed Oreos
I pack of white Wilton candy melts
Sprinkles of decoration
Wooden Lollipop sticks
Step one: Lay out halved Oreos on a plate or other microwave safe surface
Step two: Microwave Oreos for 20 seconds and then insert the lollipop stick into the cream. Press the other side of the Oreo against the cream and let cool.
Step three: Repeat step two for all remaining Oreos and then set aside.
Step four: Line a bowl with a plastic bag and fill with candy melts. Microwave at 20 second increments stirring the candy in between. This prevents the candy from burning.
Step five: Once melted, remove the bag from the bowl and cut off the corner. Pipe a zig zag pattern across the Oreos to create the appearance of a mummy.
Step Six: Add sprinkles for the eyes and voila! Enjoy your spooky Oreo mummies.
